Common questions
Response, Timing and Booking
How do I book?
Phone is quickest: (02) 9140 0185. A callback form is there too if you'd rather type it out, and we'll ring you back once it comes through.
Are you really available 24/7?
Yes. Someone answers the phone at any hour, including weekends and public holidays. Whether a plumber gets dispatched immediately or booked in depends on how urgent the job actually is.
What counts as a plumbing emergency?
Water spreading where it shouldn't, no hot water before work, a suspected gas leak, or a drain backing up into the house all count. A slow drain or a dripping tap tends to be fine sitting until a booking suits you.
How fast can you get here?
We aim for same day wherever we can manage it, though it depends on how many calls are already booked in. True emergencies, like a burst pipe or a gas leak, get priority over routine work.
Common questions
Pricing, Quotes and the $65 Off
Does the price change once you start?
No. You get a written price up front and that's exactly what lands on the invoice, even if the job turns out more involved than it first looked once we're into it.
Do you charge a call-out fee?
No, coming out to look at a job and give you a quote is $0, whether you go ahead with the repair or not.
What does the $65 off your first service cover?
First-time customers get $65 knocked off whatever the job ends up costing. It's not restricted to any one type of callout.
How does your upfront fixed pricing work?
The plumber sizes up the problem on site, talks through what it'll take, and puts a price in front of you to okay before any work happens. No hourly rate, no surprise extras.
Common questions
The Lindfield Questions
How local are you, really?
Genuinely local. Lindfield anchors the patch we cover, and the streets around it see us often enough that nothing here is a special trip.
Do you take on local new builds and renovation work?
Emergency plumbing is our focus, but renovation work often surfaces mid-project when old fittings or pipework get exposed. We'll assess it and quote fixed, same as any other job.
Why do older homes here get plumbing emergencies so often?
A lot of the housing dates from before 1940, with original clay drainage and metal pipework that's simply reached the end of a long working life. Add mature street trees and root intrusion into ageing sewer lines, and emergencies follow.
What suburbs do you service around Lindfield?
We cover Lindfield and reach into Roseville, Killara, Chatswood, Gordon and Forestville on the same fixed-price terms, all within reach of our regular run.
Common questions
The Legal Stuff, Made Simple
Who is responsible for a blocked sewer, me or Sydney Water?
It depends where the blockage sits. Anything from your house to the point of connection is your responsibility and ours to fix; past that point, it's Sydney Water's main and their job.
Are your plumbers qualified to work on gas?
Yes, gas fitting is a separate licence our plumbers hold on top of general plumbing. Smelling gas means getting clear of the house before doing anything else, then calling once you're safely outside.
Can I fix a plumbing emergency myself?
On the water side, up to a point: finding the tap that stops the flow is safe enough for anyone. Gas is a different matter entirely, that's licensed work, full stop.
Can you check my licence number?
Of course. Our NSW plumbing licence is #465156C. It's a public record, searchable at verify.licence.nsw.gov.au whenever you want to check it.
